In February of 2019 I flew to Dana Point, CA to attend Click|Away, a conference for female photographers. I was especially excited because one of my images had been chosen as a finalist in the 2018 VOICE contest. This meant it was on display at the conference and then in the print and online versions of Click Magazine.
I learned so much that weekend and met many talented photographers, a number who were ‘Click Pros.’ To become a Click Pro you have to compile a portfolio of 150 images for review.
I had applied in 2017 but didn’t score enough points to be accepted. Being at the conference inspired me to try again. However, it took two years and being a finalist in the 2020 Voice Collection, to gather my courage.
A week ago, I finally applied and sent my portfolio for review, and I’m proud to announce I AM NOW A CLICK PRO! 2020 has been a rough ride, but it sure feels great to wrap it up with an achievement like this!
